WVU Medicine is Hiring a Hr assistant Near South Charleston, WV

Provides support to the Human Resources Department assisting with a variety of secretarial duties including those which may be confidential in nature.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE :

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE :

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE :

1. Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Human Resources or Related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE :

1. Previous healthcare HR experience preferred.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.

They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assists with all employee data using HRIS, personnel files and educational files.

2. Assists in obtaining all employment-related information including employment references, criminal background check, primary source license verification, employment offers, I-9, etc.

3. Assists with screening, evaluating, and prioritizing visitors and telephone calls in an appropriate manner

4. Assists new employee Orientation packets.

5. Assists with employee computer-based learning; may assist in creation of modules.

6. Assists with hospital activities as assigned (RRR, bi-annual picnic, Hospital week, etc.)

7. Performs other clerical duties as assigned for HR and Employee Health, including but not limited to filing, editing, typing, etc.

8. Assists with documenting Employee Health data and preparing reports into employee health database system as appropriate and as assigned in an accurate and timely manner

9. Assists with creating new and replacement employee ID badges and maintains accurate information in the badge system

10. Assists candidates with the application process, employee health questionnaire and or onboarding process as needed to support the candidate and facilitate timely completion of all pre-employment requirements.

4. Requires good interpersonal communication skill when in contact with public, patients, and staff.
